Director of Nursing

We are actively seeking a Director of Nursing to join our leadership team. In this role you will provide administrative direction for our nursing services team and oversee the day-to-day clinical operations ensuring excellence throughout the continuum of care.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of Nursing Services to ensure the highest degree of quality care in accordance with Federal, State, and local guidelines and regulations

· Oversees the appropriate allocation of staffing and supervisory oversight to each Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing neighborhood

· Ensures the efficient and cost-effective use of all nursing resources

· Supervises and directs team with coordinated plan of treatment for residents, resident assessment, and care planning

· Actively participates on the recruitment, hiring, career development, retention, and professional growth process for staff

· Key contributor in development of recruiting strategies

· Assists in directing in-service education, competency training, performance evaluations and a culture of excellence and accountability

· Develops and maintains nursing service objectives and goals in accordance with Best Practice standard.

· Establishes, updates, and maintains current policies and procedures manual a (e.g., Infection control, Pandemic/COVID-19 protocol,) in full accordance with community quality standards, resident rights, Manages record-keeping procedures

· Develops and implements a process of quality management and improvement for the Nursing Services team

· Provides clinical insight while working collaboratively with the Health Services team to support resident and families experiencing transition within the continuum of care

· Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and codes of practice

· Embraces and articulates Kendal’s mission and values

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school licensure and current registration in the State of NY as a RN

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in nursing management providing direct care to multiple residents, in LTC, SNF/Nursing Home

· Knowledge of MDS

· Expert knowledge of medical practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long term care

· Commitment and enthusiasm to care for the elderly

· Strong leadership, interpersonal and team building skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
