BASIC REQUIREMENT:

  • Demonstrated leadership, marketing, management, organizational, and oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with designers and content creators to execute needed assets for marketing purposes
  • Ability to work well with multiple internal and external audiences to influence decisions and produce desired outcomes
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or a related field is required; master's degree is desirable

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategic promotional and marketing campaigns for the University
  • Keep all enrollment-related marketing efforts as a top priority
  • Ensure the smooth and timely execution of all University marketing communications
  • Measure lead and lag trends for all enrollment- and advancement-related campaigns and com tracks
  • Troubleshoot and solve any problems that may arise within the University com flow
  • Work closely with the content area of University Communications to fulfill all social, photo, video, print, and related creative services items
  • Help to strategize, plan, and manage all paid reach efforts of the University

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic promotional and marketing campaigns for Enrollment, Advancement, and other key areas of the University
  • Create and edit all email communication tracks and efforts through the established DBU CRM
  • Oversee and manage CRM marketing operations in coordination with other departments
  • Directly manage and supervise the Undergraduate Communication and Marketing Coordinator, Graduate Communications and Marketing Coordinator, Digital Marketing Specialist, and a team of student workers
  • Work closely with other full-time staff in divisions outside of University Communications who are responsible for marketing and communications for their areas
  • Ensure brand representation and consistency in all communications executed by the various communications and marketing coordinators
  • Ensure consistency and effectiveness for all marketing-related strategic plans
  • Meet consistently with key enrollment areas and advancement to ensure timely and strategic execution of all marketing communication needs
  • Work closely with the Web Team to monitor brand consistency and accuracy of the University website
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist and Web Team to promote the increased Search Engine Optimization for the University website
  • Consistently review communication campaign performance and make recommendations for improvements
  • Regularly review competitor and other higher education campaigns and anticipate the need of enrollment and advancement areas
  • Regularly review marketing campaigns within higher education and in industries outside of higher education
  • Continue to develop professionally in the areas of marketing communications and marketing management
  • Stay current with evolving marketing trends and market forces and communicate trends and issues with AVP and VP for Communications
  • Be available to lead professional development seminars for the staff/faculty on communications topics
  • Become an active participant in the academic, spiritual and social life of the campus, developing an overall knowledge, understanding and appreciation of DBU
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President for Communications, Vice President for Communications, and President

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time position with regular office hours between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday with occasional nights and weekends.
