Director of Manufacturing

Salary: $125k-175k + Benefits (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Landmark Group (DBA National Ramp) is searching for a Director of Manufacturing. to take the lead on manufacturing operations – Custom shop, robotic/manual welding and general assembly. They will also oversee facilities, maintenance, supply chain, and quality control. This individual will be responsible for setting up/organizing/monitoring assembly work centers, hiring/training/supervising staff and ensuring manufacturing operations are safe and efficient. They must have a strong knowledge of welding (Al MIG a plus,) and experience with robotic welding (programming a plus.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned:

• Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility
• Ensuring manufacturing facilities are orderly and clean at all times
• Managing operations within a facility to achieve higher output
• Oversee and maintain function and output of robotic welder
• Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals
• Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
• Maintaining communication between employees and senior management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood
• Work with Operations to develop schedule based on capacity and capability
• Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources
• Ensuring accurate production reporting
• Ensuring accurate inventory (receiving, shipping, reporting job orders)
• Ensure and oversee quality control of product
• Monitor inventory and communicate with Operations when resupply is needed
• Develop, maintain and perform preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment
• Assist in developing tools and fixtures to maximize safety and throughput
• Developing and organizing training (i.e. standard Job Instructions) and educational manuals for the production team – Creating and documenting standards.
• Oversee manpower in custom shop
• Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of welding (Al MIG a plus)
• Knowledge of robotic welding – programming, operating, troubleshooting/repairing
• Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment – operating, troubleshooting/repairing
• Knowledge in facilities management
• Knowledge of supply chain and quality control

• Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to create and adhere to production processes
• Ability to write reports legibly and accurately
• Knowledge or ERP systems a plus

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing/production managerial role
