Edovate Learning Corporation (Bridgeway Academy) has an opening for Director of Instructional Programing.

The Director of Instructional Programming is responsible for building and developing a high-functioning team and supporting the needs of select Edovate institutional partners (e.g., Bridgeway Academy). This support includes vetting content options for school use, supporting accreditation and approval processes, developing curriculum materials and resources, and offering guidance for program of instruction decisions.

The Director of Instructional Programming will work with the Directors of Curriculum Development and Assessment and Efficacy to ensure quality, provide professional development, and determine program efficacy. This role is both strategic and tactical.

This is a fully remote position - you must live in one of the following states:

Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia


Primary Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Support efforts in articulating and refining Standards of Excellence in instructional programming (e.g., curriculum selection, alignment documentation, resource development, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Curriculum Development, Assessment, Instructional Programming, and Executive teams to clearly define and align Edovate's content development/instructional design strategies to the Standards of Excellence in ways that are both repeatable and scalable
  • Identify an instructional content mix that is appropriate for pedagogical aims and that fully leverages affordances of the online/blended context
  • Identify instructional approach(es) appropriate for targeted outcomes and requirements
  • Ensure strategic communication with internal and external stakeholders on curriculum and content development projects
  • Manages the review of data analytics on a regular cycle to assess learning design theories as they play out over time, to identify creative solutions for improvements, and to recommend the need for revision (re-entry into the development cycle)

Execution

  • Ensure that instructional design across the Edovate product portfolio aligns with the needs of various learner and buyer personas
  • Ensure the work of instructional programming team maintains the integrity of relevant product development Standards of Excellence and the established timelines and budget for the project
  • Creates and implements clear and repeatable processes for content and program management and development
  • Manage content development calendar and task assignment
  • Identify educational technologies (native to the Edovate platform or ancillary) to support approach and content mix
  • Identify opportunities to improve preparedness for live online, blended, and online teaching and feedback
  • Files for product copyright in a timely manner to protect Edovate's intellectual property

Professional Development


  • Seek out and complete at least three professional development opportunities to improve conceptual understandings and skill sets relevant to role and/or market on a yearly basis (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, independent reading/research)
  • Continually research market landscape, competitor offerings, and customer value propositions
  • Provide mentoring and skills development support to Edovate team members, as needed


Collaboration


  • Participate in First Team planning and activities with Edovate directors and managers
  • Work cross functionally with the Director of Assessment and the Director of Instructional Programming to align work to and reach department-level tactics tied to corporate strategy goals
  • Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum Development in the development of curricular models for live online, textbook, blended, and online delivery.


  • Perform other roles and duties as assigned


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Education or an equivalent combination of education and equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of progressively responsible management experience (both people and projects) in curriculum design and development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and educational technology best practice in the context of K12 textbook, online and blended learning
  • Experience in development of digital first content leveraging newly emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated experience developing team-based, collaborative and/or project-based courses and curricula, preferred
  • Strong knowledge and competency in the use/purpose of learning management systems
  • Experience teaching online, preferred
  • Experience analyzing efficacy indicators and reports
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience with utilizing Microsoft/Google Suite and their corresponding analytical/data tools
