The Director of Finance – Debt will be responsible for building and maintaining banking, investment, and equity fund relationships and facilitate and close any and all Verano debt transactions with the most favorable terms possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify, negotiate, and refinance complex commercial real estate debt investments across several states and markets
• Develop and maintaining strong relationships with borrowers, mortgage bankers, real estate brokers, commercial and investment banks, developers, and investors
• Ensure compliance with all underlying mortgage loan refinance terms and conditions
• Assist in overseeing treasury and analyzing corporate debt
• Prepare and submit all proper loan documentation
• Maintain all loan documentation and develop periodic internal debt market reporting
• Evaluate risk/return within real estate capital structure
• Utilize credit skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of a potential refinancing deals
• Leverage existing and foster new relationships with debt capital providers
• Monitor micro/macro real estate market conditions, attend real estate related conferences, and stay up to date on the mortgage refinance market
• Assist in future commercial real estate acquisitions and transactions
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or equivalent degree in finance or a related field required
• 7+ year(s) of related mortgage loan and/or real estate finance experience required
• Possess superior mortgage loan negotiation skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Present themselves professionally and ethically
• Maintain sensitivity to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and public image
• Microsoft Office, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel, experience required
• SAP experience is a plus
• Ability to think critically and provide creative solutions as needed
