Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• First Class (or above) boilers license, where applicable.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in construction or maintenance of equipment, utilities and buildings.

About the Job:

The Director of Environmental Services assumes responsibilities for overall maintenance of facility. Responsible for preventative maintenance, painting and repairs inside and outside the facility to provide a safe, attractive and orderly environment for the benefit, use, enjoyment protection of residents, staff and visitors. Conducts routine tests and inspections on various facility systems and implements programs in a manner that meet the goals and objectives of the facility.

Essentials:

• Has oversight maintenance responsibilities for the general services of the facility
• Plans, schedules, performs and records all preventive maintenance functions in accordance with the established preventive maintenance system.
• Assumes responsibility for maintenance, operation, testing and repair of fire detection, alarm, and extinguishing systems and equipment.
• Assumes responsibility for the maintenance of facility floor covering
• Administers personnel functions of the maintenance department
• Monitors monthly department expenditures to budget.
• Maintains and cares for outside grounds.
• Performs maintenance functions throughout the building.
• Directs the safety program for the facility.
