As the Director of Employee Relations, you’ll be responsible for managing employee relations cases and investigations and is expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of legal compliance, applicable workplace laws, regulations, and PharmScript policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is a people person who enjoys troubleshooting and resolving problems and is dedicated to helping customers. For you, no task feels to small and no challenge is impossible. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Employee Relations team members, providing leadership, insight, and support.
  • Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to conduct research regarding human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues.
  • After analyzing the information, makes recommendations on changes.
  • Researches and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances.
  • Develops further training as needed.
  • Collaborates with legal counsel and departments in the preparation for and participation in negotiation with employee and third-party agencies.
  • Identify and drive philosophies and programs to foster constructive employee relations and ensure the organizations' approach to its employees is fair, respectful and consistent.
  • Gather, analyze and interpret data and metrics to develop recommendations and strategies to facilitate positive employee relations and engagement.
  • Identify risks and challenges to the employee relationship.
  • Reduce risks by developing programs, policies and procedures to promote fair and equitable employee relations and business decisions.
  • Evaluate and improve existing HR practices to introduce new perspectives, trends and processes.
  • Ensure employment policies and practices comply with relevant employment regulations.
  • Oversee company-wide application of workplace policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion programs.
  • Advise management and leadership on employee relations.
  • Serve as the point of contact on fundamental HR issues and questions.
  • Partner with HR on complex employee relations issues.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to employees on employee relations issues and workplace practices.
  • Receive, evaluate and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Conduct investigations of complaints and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee, review and advise on employee grievance and disciplinary processes.
  • Respond to, manage and resolve conflict.
  • Oversee employee consultations.
  • Assist and advise on the company response to crisis.
  • Monitor and advise on performance management and review processes.
  • Design and drive training sessions and interventions to meet employee needs and business objectives.
  • Support management in the development of employees including coaching and mentoring.
  • Develop and execute employee reward and recognition programs.
  • Stay current with employee relations trends, regulations and legal requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.
  • Four years of professional human resource administration, including two years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of the principles and practices of employee relations.
  • In-depth knowledge and application of federal, state and local labor and employment law and regulations.
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits administration.
  • Knowledge of learning methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and executing programs that measurably impact positive employee relations.
  • MS Office application.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
