Jefferson City Medical Group (JCMG) is growing our team and we are looking for an experienced Director of Clinical Operations This is an exempt position that reports directly to JCMG's Chief Operating Officer. Normal working hours are Monday- Friday 8:00-5:00. However, hours could vary based on the needs of the department. Salary is based on experience and comes with a full benefit package including insurance, PTO, paid Holidays, and an Employee Retirement Plan (401K).
The Director of Operations is responsible for oversight and day-to-day management of multiple clinics and ancillary departments within Jefferson City Medical Group (JCMG); specific focus on process improvement, personnel management, cost containment, and revenue enhancement. This position is instrumental in the development of Practice Managers/Clinic Coordinators as clinical leaders. In addition, it is instrumental in implementation of systems and programs that maintain and improve current operations and embrace opportunities for change that are present in a growing network.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Specific Competencies :
Develop and implement standardized practices and protocols for clinics that achieve superior outcomes while being appropriately cost effective.
In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), develop, implement, and monitor annual goals and objectives to meet the strategic and financial objectives of JCMG.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (Board of Directors Physicians, Executive Staff, Management, and front-line staff).
Monitor regulatory and clinical standards, productivity, and quality assurance efforts.
Work with the COO to develop, review and approve the operating plans and budgets submitted by direct reports, with a keen interest in implementing internal “best practices,” operational processes and targeted business growth initiatives.
Work in conjunction with the COO to ensure that the broad strategic vision of JCMG is implemented and communicated accurately and effectively to clinical and ancillary staff.
Collaborate with the COO to standardize and drive continuous improvement methods throughout JCMG and the asset base by planning, leading, and facilitating a unified and seamless implementation of the improvement philosophies of JCMG.
Build and manage the operations infrastructure required to support significant growth effectively and efficiently.
Develop and oversee the execution of “best in class” operations, logistics, services, and solutions.
Execute strategies, tactics and actions aimed at achieving JCMG’s goals and objectives for revenue growth, profit, as well as employee and patient satisfaction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Nursing degree preferred or Business/Healthcare Management degree
  • Bachelor of Science minimum; Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years or more managing a physician practice, ambulatory care, or similar experience, leading operational activities in a healthcare setting
  • Financial analysis experience
  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment
Certification/License:
  • Registered Nurse preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Demonstrate financial management and budgeting skills
  • Knowledge of strategies to improve clinical outcomes and the patient experience
  • Must be familiar with and capable of working with Microsoft suite software (i.e., Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Familiar with project management concepts
  • Ability to develop creative solutions and effectively problem solve
  • Utilize the latest technology to enhance the growth of JCMG
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and gain consensus
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups of leaders, vendors, and patients
  • Proven experience in partnering with an executive team
  • Highly effective communication skills are required: including the ability to make effective and persuasive presentations; prepare written documentation including proposals, quotations and letters; maintain accurate and complete project files
