Job Summary:

The Director of Assessment and Academic Testing Data analyzes data and works with the schools’ principals and faculty in understanding assessment data to generate effective responses to the school/students’ needs. Essential components to the position are the possession of substantive organizational skills and the ability to oversee/supervise the effective implementation of required state and district assessments. This individual must be able to provide training to school staff in using formative assessments to enhance and engage student learning as well as facilitate the administration of state mandated assessments. Additionally, the Director of Assessment and Academic Testing Data will certify ethical testing practice within the school building across the consortium of schools system.

Responsibilities

• Making meaning of multiple data sources in support of the data driven decision-making efforts of school leadership;
• Monitoring student achievement using quarterly milestone and other formative data;
• Interpreting test results and provide written interpretation and analysis for school and individual teacher use
• Analyzing state and district assessments to assist school leaders in data-driven decision-making;
• Analyzing data to assist in the development of school improvement plans;
• Generating graphic visualizations of data in efforts to assist school leaders in making information meaningful and actionable;
• Managing the implementation and certification of required state and consortium testing;
• Organizing, managing, and implementing all standardized testing for the UCP Charter School consortium including training of staff, maintaining accurate and complete records, coordinating distribution and collection of secure test materials, administering tests in accordance with the established test calendar, providing and completing all test documents to the District by established deadlines;
• Certifying as to the ethical testing practice within the school building and providing training to staff on ethical testing, test security, and data reporting procedures
• Providing teachers and instructional support staff with assistance in developing and using assessments to better align instruction to student needs;
• Planning and conducting staff development activities that focus on the use of data and assessment to enhance learning and collaborative instructional planning;
• Ensuring ESOL Testing and assessment gets completed timely and accurately and ELL program gets implemented.
• Ensuring ESE accountability is submitted, reviewed, and analyzed three times per school year.
• Leads and coordinates the Consortium Beginning, Middle, and End of Year MTSS data meetings
• Participate as part of the Education Leadership Team for consortium wide planning.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Training:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree Preferred – Elementary or Exceptional Education.
• Teacher Certification in the State of Florida (Prefer Ed Leadership)

Minimum Experience/Skills

• Five years of teaching experience
• Experience interpreting state assessment data and presenting to teams.
• Knowledge of all regulations governing test administration and data reporting policies and procedures.
• Understanding of data-based instruction
• Knowledge of ELL procedures
• Ability to create informative visualizations of data to support school staff with evaluation and planning efforts
• Strong knowledge of basic Microsoft software applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

• Able to work under pressure and short timelines with accuracy
