The Position

The Sr Manager of Continuo CI and Projects will work with leaders across Quench to identify and support process and operational opportunities across the organization and support strategic projects (SDP) that will enable growth and profitability to meet the company’s strategic objectives. The Sr Manager of CI and Projects will play a critical role across the organization with the SVP of Strategy and Transformation by applying tools to help identify opportunities, define potential solutions, support the roll out design and execution of cross functional strategic projects, and help manage the projects end-to-end to ensure execution and value delivery. The Sr Manager of CI and Projects will work with cross functional teams to identify opportunities across strategic and key operational needs through critical analysis and providing insights to drive decision making. He or she will also partner with leaders across the organization and with Culligan corporate to lead/support Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other continuous improvement activities to identify priorities and translate these into projects and programs that he or she will personally champion, create organizational alignment, enable execution, embrace shared accountability, and celebrate team successes. This individual will report to the SVP of Strategy and Transformation and work closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) at Quench and leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Service, Supply Chain, and IT.


Responsibilities

    • Support opportunity identification and prioritization of improvements across the organization, working with BU and Functional leads, and the SVP of Transformation and Strategy, based on overall Quench goals and strategy, will help define key opportunities where CI and lean tools can help identify opportunities, define solutions, and support improvement activities across operations.
    • Support and help lead continuous improvement events and activities. Work with the functional leaders across the business, to define cross-functional and deep operational process areas for transformation improvement and support/lead Kaizen, Value stream mapping, and/or other CI/lean events that can help identify process gaps and opportunities, development of new process improvements, defining, testing , and embedding the changes into the organization for improvement.
    • Support the design and project manage the roll-out of cross network/ system solutions. Be the lead to help translate solutions from the CI events to the broader organization. Project manage the roll out, execution, and monitoring of these solutions to the broader organization, including supply chain, service, and/or functional process improvements.
    • Work closely with IT and other functions to enable strategic deployment efforts. Work closely with the IT organization and other shared services to identify enabling needs and requirements for the strategic projects (including IT and systems solutions) and manage the integration of these efforts with the overall project
    • Provide analytical support to identify opportunities and measure success. Work with the business to identify and perform analytics to quantify business opportunities for prioritization and support the identification, development, and roll out of KPIs and metrics, including tools and dashboards (with IT and or BI where needed), to support measurement and management of the strategic and project efforts

Requirements

Must have

  • Demonstrated success to define and develop continuous improvement programs
  • Lean Sig Sigma experience including but not limited to Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, and problem-solving experience (e.g. 5 Whys)
  • Ability to work with senior level teams and across functions to influence outcomes
  • Strong facilitation, project management, and organization skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities to value opportunities and identify the right data to manage efforts
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including PowerPoint
  • Flexibility top work across functions and apply tools to various processes
  • Growth mindset and willingness to take on and learn from new challenges, including giving and receiving direct feedback

Must be:

  • Resilient and high energy to drive to answers, working cross-functionally as needed
  • Extremely strong communicator to work with operational teams and functional managers
  • Comfortable analyzing data, interpreting, and identifying opportunities based on analysis
  • Comfortable with shared accountability for outcomes associated with projects
  • Strong problem solver to identify new pragmatic solutions for execution
  • An effective time manager based on value-driven prioritization
  • Honest, integrity-driven in all facets of the role, owning and learning from mistakes
  • Preferred experience:
  • Continuous improvement experience leading projects and cross organizational programs
  • Business, Engineering, or operational degree
  • Lean six sigma training, black belt preferred
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of business experience in continuous improvement operational roles, and/or project management
