We are currently hiring for In Home Support professionals to provide services to adults with Disabilities, Mental Illness, and/or Chemical Dependency in the person’s served home and/or in the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote mental and physical well-being of persons served.

• Teach independent living skills.

• Encourage proper behavioral development.

• Advocate for affordable and accessible housing, employment opportunities, and adequate and accessible transportation.

• Assist clients with all benefit forms through the county, state, SSI and rental assistance etc.

• Assist with scheduling doctor appointments and other activities.
• Drive and attend appointments with clients if needed such medical, getting IDs, Social Security office ect.

• Assist clients in peer support and socialization activities.

• Offer information, resources, and referral services to clients to assist in the attainment of client generated goals.
• Provide advocacy and support to assist clients with essential daily living needs.

• Work with clients on work-related skills and job preparedness.

• Develop awareness of community resources throughout the service area.
• Serve as role model and mentor, demonstrate the desired behaviors, and coach the clients using approved techniques and strategies.

• Provide clients with positive reinforcement and feedback.
• Follow policies and procedures guidelines.

• Maintain required trainings.

Qualifications

Prefers 1 year of relevant work experience

Must have a valid Drivers License, car insurance and a reliable vehicle.

Must pass DHS background check.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
