Job description
GentleBrook is now hiring a direct support professional for our group home in Hartville. Candidate will have direct oversight of the four residents who live in the home. Will be responsible for their health and safety, assisting with housekeeping and cooking duties, transporting to activities, appointments, grocery shopping, etc.
Our group home is located in downtown Hartville. While shopping, dining, and outdoor activities are all close by and accessible, the home is located at the end of a lightly trafficked street and the area immediately surrounding the home is quiet and peaceful.
Support Staff Pay and Schedule Availability:
- $14-$14.50/hr.
- Shift differential available
- Shifts available 6a-10a (Week days), 6a-2p (Weekends), 1p-9p or 2p-10p (Full - Time)
- PART - TIME & FULL - TIME openings!
- Every other weekend + holiday required with opportunity to pick up additional shifts.
- ON SITE / ON CALL
Support Staff Qualifications:
- Must have a clean background check, drug screen and driving record
- Must have a HS diploma/GED
- Must have an Ohio driver license with clean driving record
- Must be trained, or willing to be trained in CPR/First Aid, and medication delegation
Support Staff Responsibilities:
- Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care
- Help integrate residents into the community
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members and other staff
- Provides direct and indirect resident care services
- Work along side nurse to communicate resident needs/changes
