Exciting opportunity to work as a Full-Time Family Assistant Worker - Youth Direct Care Aide in the Youth Day Treatment Program for the Ste Genevieve Area!

Base Pay: $17.00/hour

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Two years of college and two years of experience working with mental health or child populations; or,
• Associates degree and two years of experience working with mental health or child population; or,
• Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services Field

The Program
The Youth Day Treatment program provides services to youth in grades 3-12 who require a step-down or an alternative to inpatient care or partial hospitalization, or as transitional care following an inpatient or partial hospitalization stay in order to facilitate return to the community or to prevent or minimize the need for more intense or restrictive level of treatment. The Day Treatment Program provides services that are more intensive than outpatient treatment and will serve persons who need a structured, behavioral health setting for daytime activities.

Job Summary:

As a Family Assistance Worker, you will be responsible for assisting children in the Day Treatment Program to learn important life skills such as communication, de-escalation, and coping techniques. Your role is to help the children remain in their homes, schools, and communities while they receive treatment. This is a challenging yet rewarding position as you will be able to witness the progress and growth of your clients as they work towards their treatment goals.

What Your Duties Will Look Like as a Family Assistant Worker:

• Attend to the needs of children during Day Treatment activities and within the community, under the direction of the Day Treatment Manager.
• Give feedback on behavior, skills, and peer interactions during Treatment Team Meetings.
• Teach skills and model appropriate pro-social interactions.
• Provide complete and timely documentation as per policy and procedures.
• Communicate with parents regarding pick-up times.
• Work with an integrated treatment team, including case managers, psychiatrists, and the school adminstrative staff to provide consistent care.
• Other job duties may be entailed.

Staff must have proof of continuous auto insurance, must be able to possess a MO Class E license, and successfully complete the required CPR/First Aid and Pro-ACT Training.
