Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Director of Nursing (DON) to join the team of providers in place providing great patient care at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Missouri.

Ellett Memorial Hospital is a critical access hospital located in Appleton City, Mo providing exceptional emergency, acute and skilled care to their community. This small, rural facility allows our skilled patient care team the opportunity to spend more one on one time with their patients developing strong relationships built on open communication, trust and compassion while delivering personalized quality care.

A typical day will include: Accountable for clinical practice in hospital departments that provide or support clinical services including: Emergency Department and Inpatient Nursing, Radiology, Utilization Review, EMS, Infection Control, Social Services, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Quality Improvement and Central Sterile. Directs the hospital’s clinical services. Establishes guidelines for the delivery of patient care, treatment and services. Accountable for ongoing professional development of clinical management team, clinical staff (including orientation, ongoing education and competency), and retention of around 30 personnel. Accountable for compliance with all regulations that impact delivery of patient care (i.e.CMS, Missouri Department of Health).

This position is Full Time days, Monday-Friday with some flexibility in hours and one week of administrative call per month

Requirements: Must have Missouri Nursing License with 5 years bedside experience and 3 years management experience, BSN preferred. This position requires exceptional leadership and communication skills as well as the ability to see beyond nursing to the entire healthcare continuum.
