Currently, we are looking for a compassionate and dynamic Dining Attendant to join our team!

Preston Pointe Retirement is a beautiful Senior Living campus with a host of luxurious amenities including transportation, creative activities, a maintenance-free lifestyle, housekeeping services, and all-day dining. Our Hospitality Attendant will perform assigned tasks under supervision of the Dining Room Manager as needed. This position will be assisting our servers and expediting efficient and high-quality dining that meets our resident's dietary needs. Their chief goal will be to provide excellent customer service at all times, and to ensure that our residents are satisfied with their fine dining experience!

Qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of waitress/waiter experience greatly preferred
• Proactive about making the dining experience more enjoyable for our residents!
• Excellent customer service and communication skills needed
• Must have a friendly demeanor with a passion for working with seniors!
• Ability to listen and speak clearly with patience and compassion
• Ability to learn safe food practices and adherence to sanitation guidelines

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Waits on resident tables to take orders, deliver orders, bus tables, and reset the tables
• Proactive to assist with other Dietary Department needs as requested or assigned (stocking, inventory, menu distribution etc.)
• Maintains excellent customer service skills and acts as a liaison between the Dining Room Manager and Chef and the residents, offering the finest dining experience possible at all times
• Speaking politely to residents before, during, and after meals to ensure they are satisfied with the food quality and service
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness and order in the dining room and related area
• Helps with kitchen sanitation, dining laundry, and food safety measures.
• Will assist the servers in delivering meals to resident apartments as directed.
• Checks weekly menu each shift and ensures required products are pulled from the refrigerator or the cooler as required.

Requirements:

• Must be able to walk throughout the dining and kitchen areas frequently
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to move quickly, push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, reach and balance using proper body mechanics
• Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Proper uniform and professional appearance needed at all times
