Digital Media Specialist – Communications and Community Relations
Applications are now being accepted for the position of Digital Media Specialist in the Department for Communications and Community Relations in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This is a full-time position located at the Diocese of Pittsburgh Pastoral Center (Green Tree area).
This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital media strategy for websites, social media applications, and other digital media of the Diocese of Pittsburgh under the direction of the Executive Director for Communications and Community Relations.
Qualifications for the Digital Media Specialist position include:

- Bachelors’ Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field of study;
- Three (3) years’ experience in Media Specialist and Graphic Designer roles;
- Strong skills in verbal and written communications;
- Outstanding analytical and project management skills;
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices;
- Hands on experience using social media for brand awareness;
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics;
- Ability to identify target audience and build content to meet them;
- Familiarity with web design and publishing;
- Excellent multitasking skills;
- Familiarity with communication practices and working knowledge of the Catholic Faith.
