Tipton Hay Farms is growing and we need your help! With 23 trucks on the road we are in need of a full time heavy truck mechanic. We bring all the trucks back to our shop every weekend so we can keep up on maintenance. Friday and Saturday are the busiest days for us, so we will need someone that is available both days. Ideally this would be a salary position, but we are open to hourly as well. Experience working on heavy trucks is a must. We are happy to pay an experienced mechanic and we are also willing to work with someone with limited experience but outstanding mechanical knowledge.

Here is a short list of some of the most common repairs we handle in our shop:

• Brake shoe and drum replacement, brake chamber replacement, air line repair
• Servicing trucks, oil and filter changes, greasing fittings, general maintenance
• Radiator replacement, radiator line repair, cooling system sensor replacement
• Electrical sensor replacement, repair of truck and trailer lights, electrical diagnosis
• A/C work, charging and evacuating system, condenser replacement, sensor replacement
• Aftertreatment repair, sensor replacement, disassembly of DPF, DOC, and SCR
• Replacing engine parts and related items like EGR coolers, turbos, oil separators, gaskets and seals, various engine sensors.
• Driveline repair, u-joints, seals and bearings, drive shafts
• Trailer maintenance including lights, suspension air bags, brakes, air lines
• Interior part replacement, cb installation, inverter installation, seats, trim
• CEL diagnosis, checking and clearing codes, programming ECMs

We need someone that is flexible and able to adapt to the variety of repairs that we experience. Knowledge of anything beyond what's mentioned above is a plus.

Leadership and self management are also very important. We need someone that takes initiative and gets work done without constant supervision. Additionally, as fast as we are growing, it's very likely that we will need a second mechanic. Someone that is able to manage at least one other person would be ideal.

We are flexible and willing to work with the right candidate. We would need someone in the shop Friday and Saturday to repair trucks as well as Monday to make sure all trucks are able to head out in a timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
