BlackRock Resources is in search of a Designer II on a contract role for our client in Canonsburg, PA.

SUMMARY

Creates oil and gas production facility design drawings which require knowledge and skill in advanced AutoCAD drafting techniques, procedures, and a knowledge of certain industry standards under moderate supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following

• Develops under moderate supervision, CAD drawings from design sketches or catalog information.
• Performs with some direction mechanical and electrical design drawings
• Communicates with and coordinates work facility engineers, construction supervisor, vendors and other disciplines.
• Demonstrates a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities and implemented in work designed.
• Prepares engineering and construction drawings from verbal instruction, utilizing AutoCAD programs including 3D Plant.
• Performs related fundamental engineering support tasks such as updating computer lists, filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, proofreading reports, compiling Bills of Material, etc.
• May utilize information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals, previous drawings, CAD files to perform design work.
• Completes as-built drawings and P&ID drawings.
• Must demonstrate a sound understanding of design concepts with minimum engineering input.
• Uses time efficiently.
• Keeps supervisor, facility engineers, CAD tech and construction supervisors informed of progress.
• Quality assurance for personal work assignments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

. Drafting courses training from vo-tech or other applicable program with a minimum of five years of technical work experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
