Position Summary:
This position is a design specialist in the Business Analysis and Design team which is part of the Business Support Services team in Tax Operations. Position is responsible for designing business requirements for system additions and enhancements and new electronic processes within Tax Operations. Plans, researches, analyzes and makes recommendations for operational efficiency by working with subject matter experts, management, and other resources. Coordinates with other staff responsible for implementation (technical, test, etc.). Coordinates with taxpayer education staff in order to plan educational and marketing strategies regarding new programs or program changes. This position is also responsible for leading cross-functional teams of tax operations associates in researching the impact of proposed legislation and documenting those impacts on behalf of the Division. Leads joint application development (JAD) sessions and writes detailed general systems design documents.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency’s programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

Preferred Experience: Prefer one year of tax knowledge experience and two years of customer service. Experience leading meetings and/or projects.

Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: KBI and FBI fingerprint required due to access to Federal Tax Information files in KDOR systems.
