Are you interested in improving and shaping the IT industry? Leidos is seeking a Deputy Program Manager who is motivated to ensure successful IT service delivery for multiple utility clients.

The Deputy Program Manager reports to the Program Manager and will assist in achieving excellence in program execution for multiple Utility Programs where Leidos provides IT PMO Services, Application Maintenance and Development, Infrastructure Services, and Organization Change Management. The ideal candidate will be accountable for ensuring the following:

  • Complies with the negotiated terms and conditions of the contract

  • Meets or exceeds customer expectations

  • Satisfies the program's technical requirements

  • Meets all program-related financial objectives

  • Meets the agreed upon schedule

  • Meets or exceeds Leidos standards for ethics and integrity

We are looking for someone in The Woodlands, TX, Little Rock, AR, or New Orleans, LA.

Responsibilities:

The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for:

  • Personnel

    • Implement program manager-defined priorities

    • Assign tasks

    • Develop and train staff

    • Maintain the program organization structure

    • Manage allocation (ETC, ACT) for a staff of 200+ resources

    • Provide evaluations to staff functional management

  • Communications

    • Develop and implement the program communication plan

    • Disclose program issues and escalate as necessary

    • Communicate with the customer and manage customer expectations

    • Communicate with subcontractors

    • Educate the customer and subcontractors

    • Report status to Leidos management per Policy LP-PE-1: Program Execution

    • Communicate with line functions

  • Technical, cost, schedule, and contract baselines

    • Oversee delivery and customer satisfaction for 100+ task orders.

    • Establish and implement program plans

  • Support proposals

Required Education & Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management or Engineering or equivalent degree

  • 12+ years of experience in Delivery and Management of IT Services

  • A minimum of 7+ years of managing or leading large (20+) teams

  • Experience working in electric utility industry required

  • Experience in financial oversight of P&L for programs greater than 10 million in total revenue

  • Possess a high degree of ethics, strong core values and an optimistic outlook, strong leadership, teamwork, and customer relations skills, exceptional oral and written communication and formal presentation skills, the ability to work independently with initiative, creativity, and innovation, and demonstrated program management skills.

  • Strong working knowledge of infrastructure and software development lifecycle and methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams

  • Experience working in a multi-vendor environment

  • In depth knowledge of multiple technologies aligned with IT standards

  • Excellent customer service skills (Director and Above)

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Certification in Project Management from a recognized credentialing agency (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI)) preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Pay Range:

Pay Range $142,350.00 - $219,000.00 - $295,650.00
