JPS Health Network is anchored by John Peter Smith Hospital, a 582-bed, Level I Trauma teaching hospital founded in 1905 to care for the underserved. Today, JPS is the largest medical training institution in Fort Worth; learning and residency training is the heart of the mission of JPS Health Network - to make lives better. Ten academic residency programs exist at JPS to meet the healthcare needs of Tarrant County.

Lead Chair of IM Department totaling 103 total providers.

• Develops and maintains a high-performing team of qualified clinicians, including Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Provides medical direction for all services associated with clinical programs, emphasizing safety, quality, patient experience, access, stewardship, and engaged caregivers

-Supports operational effectiveness through collaboration with the Department Administrator, is aware of financial implications of clinical program initiatives, recommends capital expenditures for facilities, and participates in medical expense budget for the department—partners with Acclaim operations to set budgets and optimize operating and financial performance

• Acumen in engaging physicians to achieve a higher quality of care, treatment, and services. Participate in Acclaim and JPS Health Network programs, public relations functions, and community affairs events
• Maintain part-time clinical practice/boots on the ground in current specialty alongside colleagues
