Dental Manager
Full-time (40 hours per week) - Johnson, RI
General Responsibility:
Manage the day-to-day practice support, administrative and compliance activities of the dental clinic operations. The Dental Manager oversees the activities of the entire team of both non-clinical and clinical support staff and is responsible for developing and meeting service standards and goals.
Specific Responsibilities:

  • Participating in In-service, Orientation, Committee, Supervision and Staff meetings.
  • Attending relevant training/conferences as requested/directed by the Health Center Director/COO, President/CEO and/or Direct Supervisor. (This may require out-of-state travel)
  • Supporting the mission of the Tri-County Community Action Agency and the Health Center in the community.
  • Participating in continuing education programs, including one (1) annual training program on compliance with OSHA's Blood borne Pathogen Standard.

Essential Functions:

  • Managing personnel including: assistance with hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
  • Providing and/or overseeing patient care, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and clinical standards.
  • Provides 20 clinical hours per week as an RDH.
  • Recommending, implementing, and administering methods and procedures to enhance overall dental clinic operations.
  • Developing recordkeeping procedures and manages appropriate department records in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited dental assisting or dental hygiene program
  • Current Licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Dental Setting (community health experience preferred)
  • At least 1 year of supervisory skills (preferred)
  • Current CPR/AED certification
