Job description

La Jolla Logic has an immediate need for a Defensive Cyber Operations Project Manager to support the US Space Force Delta 6 organization in the implementation of the Cyber Roadmap Execution Plan across individual Cyberspace Operations Squadrons supporting each assigned Mission Delta.

Salary range: $90,000 - $105,000. This is a funded and ready to fill role.

What you will be supporting:

The US Space Force is challenged to deliver cyber effects, enable cyber operations, and defend its data networks, and mission capabilities against increasingly capable adversaries in a resource constrained environment. Maintaining a relevant cyber operations capability and a robust security posture is demanding as the cyber landscape swiftly evolves and new threats and vulnerabilities are constantly presented. Evolution in the cyber domain requires a Cyber Operations organization (Wing-level equivalent) that is agile, responsive, and innovative. The organization must have the depth and breadth of expertise necessary to support a wide range of operational requirements and context applicable to the Space Domain.

A new cyber organization, Space Delta 6, was formed with the directive to execute cyber operations to protect space operations, networks, and communications, and operate the Satellite Control Network (SCN). This initiative will build upon the codified and Chief of Space Operations (CSO)-approved Cyber Roadmap, draft Cyber Roadmap Implementation Plan, draft Cyber Roadmap Execution Plan, signed Defensive Cyberspace Operations for Space (DCO-S) Enabling Concept, and additional guidance and documentation. While Space Delta 6 leadership has a clear vision of the end-state and desired outcomes in standing up this new organization, assistance from industry with the transformational nature of this endeavor is critical. This vision includes building turn-key, dedicated Cyberspace Operations Squadrons for each of the Operational Mission Deltas (attached to each Mission Delta). ADVON teams comprised of Military, Civilian, and Contract support will shoulder the load of building these units. The required support from industry to realize this goal includes on-site/dedicated (one per Cyber Operations Squadron ADVON team) Cyberspace Operations/Warfighter SMEs to enable implementation activities for the duration of the period of performance. Additionally, Organizational Transformation (as pertaining to DoD organizations) and Strategic Leadership Messaging support across all ADVON teams (tailored to each ADVON team) will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • The subcontractor shall record meeting notes and analyze for topic themes for actionable items and lessons learned
  • The subcontractor shall help collaborate with and schedule meetings with cyber stakeholders and USSF leadership
  • The subcontractor shall provide support and expertise to monitor and measure the progress of the implementation and the resulting tangible, transformational outcomes that align with leadership’s clear vision and expectation of end state capabilities of the Delta 6 organization

  • The subcontractor shall establish and help track clearly defined measures of success through achievable goals, objectives, and a vision that aligns to the Delta 6 mission

  • The subcontractor shall help track lessons-learned and captured efficiencies throughout the stand-up and report them to stakeholders with the intent of applying them to subsequent builds to continuously enhance and accelerate the stand-up of Cyberspace Squadrons

  • The subcontractor shall help measure and define business results to be delivered over the program lifecycle that align strategy to mission and are communicated across stakeholders

  • The subcontractor shall help manage program business benefits and evaluate KPIs in clear, measurable terms, which are actively maintained and monitored throughout the program

Requirements:

  • Program or project management experience
  • Defensive and Offensive Cyber Operations experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Know and understand Cyber Operations and Cyberspace operations
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required for access to classified systems
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
