Job Description
This position ensures the efficient and accurate registration of new dealers to the AutoNation Auction, and maintains and updates the current dealer database and files.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
- Processing new dealer applications by obtaining the appropriate registration documents according to Auction policy, such as dealer license, surety bond, seller permit and W-9.
- Maintaining and verifying appropriate seller and buyer files and update as needed, such as status of dealer insurance records, business address and phone numbers and similar data.
- Obtaining credit reports on new dealers as necessary; verifing dealer licenses by contacting the state DMV offices.
- Work the counter on sale day, registering new dealers, printing bidder badges, updating dealer information and answering customer questions.
- Loading and/or updating required dealer information into the ASI and/or Auction Access systems, scanning dealer documents into the system, taking dealer photos, etc.
- Accepting credit card payments for miscellaneous fees such as late fees, buy fees, one-way permits or storage fees.
- Providing back up for the Dealer Services Associate on an “as needed” basis.
What are the requirements for this job?
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of clerical and/or customer service experience required. Auction experience strongly preferred.
- Effective communication skills, problem solving and excellent customer service skills required.
- Good computer software skills required including Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Auction Edge/ASI and Auction Access auction systems a plus.
