RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help maintain the database to ensure full operational capability for day-to-day operations. Current development relies heavily on user feedback to catch errors. The contractor will debug coding and correct functionality based on user feedback and the CTL/MML programming team prioritization.
• Help maintain the operational and development back-end structures.
• Provide database support to database users in Boulder and Gaithersburg. Support shall be limited to Boulder or Gaithersburg operating hours (but not both). Support shall include responding to requests for support via phone or email within one (1) business day and resolving issues with already deployed database programming that prevents full functionality within one (1) business day.
• Continue developing new capabilities for the database in JAVA/SENCHA according to the priorities outlined by the development team.
• Participate as part of a development team that will combine capabilities from other programs developed by other units across the client into the database aimed at providing client users an end-to-end full-service workflow management, project financial planning, and real-time solvency tool.
• Responsible for Monthly Progress Report.
• Provides competent leadership and highly specialized and technical guidance to complex challenges to Database Administration challenges.
• Work in cross functional domain of data analyst and database administrator.
• Perform duties including the monitoring and maintenance of databases, installation of database software upgrades, monitoring of database backups, standardization and implementation of databases to improve the management of production and test environments, physical database design, performance monitoring and tuning, documentation of standards and procedures, assistance to application developers, backup and recovery and consulting.
• Support users by resolving problems with applications’ databases.
• Provide direction to junior Database Administrators.
• Coordinate with upper management to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED QUAIFICATIONS:

• Must have a minimum of twelve (12) years professional experience as a database administrator.
• Has substantive experience in Database Administration.
• Has detailed specialized experience in recent or rare technologies.
• Simultaneously plans, manages and provides technical oversight for other database administrators.
• Able to work in ambiguous circumstances.
• Administration discipline(s) and technologies described in an actual task order proposal.
• Experience programming in SENCHA and JAVA
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, MS Access, Service Now, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
