ITCC II Cyber Security Engineering (CSE) team members are responsible for providing assistance to the Command’s (CMD) vulnerability management program analyzing CMD’s cyber defense policies and configurations and evaluating compliance with regulations and organizational directives. CSE team members also work with project engineers by performing technical and non-technical risk and vulnerability assessments of relevant technology focus areas (e.g. local computing environment, network and infrastructure, enclave boundary, supporting infrastructure, and applications) to ensure system accreditation using the DoD Risk Management Framework.
What you’ll do:
The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Review requirements to identify potential security vulnerabilities during the design stage of technical solution development
- Use network analysis tools to perform Cyber Security analysis, correlation, and prioritization of vulnerabilities/findings discovered in scans and vendor bulletins
- Prepare audit reports that identify technical and procedural findings, and provide recommended remediation strategies/solutions. Maintain knowledge of applicable cyber defense policies, regulations, and compliance documents specifically related to cyber defense auditing.
- Exercise knowledge of installation, maintenance, and upgrade techniques for Operating Systems and applications for server and client environments to identify security vulnerabilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of all policies and procedures relating to Cyber and Network Security
- Proactively monitor vendor and DoD Cyber Security notices and report results accordingly
- Assist in development and assessment of targeted metrics to assess security postures
- Understand, adhere to, and implement overall cyber security and configuration policies and procedures in alignment with industry standard security compliance framework
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
- BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2; in lieu of degree, 9 years relevant work or military experience accepted
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Security+

Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $57,500 Salary Mid: $115,000 Salary Maximum: $143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
