Customs Drawback Analyst

C.H. Robinson is hiring for a Customs Drawback Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the duty drawback services for all branches within the C.H. Robinson network. As a Customs Drawback Analyst you will analyze, review, prepare and complete drawback claims on behalf of clients as well as utilize analytics to determine acceptability requirements for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). As a subject matter expert, you will establish standard operating procedures, conduct training, investigate, and support brokerage employees throughout the drawback process.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain multiple concurrent customer drawback programs
  • Provide full support to client’s drawback program by collecting, reviewing, and preparing applications and documents for duty drawback claims
  • Onboard new drawback customers and help to identify drawback opportunities
  • Maintain and acquire Drawback Power of Attorneys from customers
  • Estimate and apply for drawback bonds with sureties
  • Audit and prepare high volume claims
  • Host department trainings to keep brokerage employees abreast of pertinent industry changes and system updates

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience filing drawback under TFTEA requirements

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Extensive Knowledge of U.S. Customs entry processes and partner government agency regulations
  • Effective communicator and data/reporting/business liaison through multiple mediums
  • Proven critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, and strong working proficiency with the broader MS Office Suite of programs
  • High level of attention to detail and a positive, collaborative working style
  • Ability to work and communicate across the branch network
  • Certification related to drawback process, handling or filing
  • Knowledge of CBP drawback rules and regulations
