Morgan Distributing, Inc. is an ExxonMobil Lubricant Distributor headquartered in Decatur, Illinois with 3 additional locations in Fairfield, Illinois, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Valparaiso, IN. Currently, we are seeking a Customer Service Representative in our Valparaiso, IN location.

The Customer Service Representative position is responsible for processing orders by our clients for product they need for their lubrication processes whether it is residential, passenger car dealerships, manufacturing or industrial. These orders will be received in the form of mail, telephone, telefax, email, or from customer or company employees. This position will provide effective customer service by establishing a working relationship with external and internal (i.e. inside sales, sales, warehouse, delivery drivers, etc.).

  • Receives and reviews order submitted.
  • Edits orders received for pricing, delivery, shipping needs.
  • Provides customer with Quotes (Four (4) hour turnaround) for unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer.
  • Answers customer's questions on product pricing, availability, and delivery options. Customer Service Representative will know to refer to Territory Manager for all technical questions.
  • Enters order into Business software to determine total cost for customer, verify the pricing is based off price structure assigned to customer, product availability, and confirmation that delivery can meet the requirements.
  • Follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified date for accuracy, within 1 to 3 days lead time and delivered within 36 hours of receiving order.
  • Finalizes order after delivery by invoicing customer and supplying them with the invoice by mail, telefax, email or in person.
  • Receives customer complaints and communicates them to Customer Service Supervisor for direction on how to handle.
  • Provides Customer Service Supervisor will all product, shipping, delivery, order, and inventory issues that may affect customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures all quotes are processed, recorded, and filed
  • Reports all account changes to Customer Service Supervisor.
  • All UPS or FEDEX shipments of product shall be processed, packaged and invoiced by Customer Service Representative assigned to shipping.
  • All end of the month requirements such as invoicing, corrections, and inventory needs shall be completed by the second business day of the new month.
  • Create reports for pricing, product usage and evaluation monthly.
  • Ensures price changes are put into place as they change (Sales Territory Manager to supply the pricing changes)
  • There are A/R functions that consist of depositing Payments, processing Credit Card Payment, Entering those payments into the system on the correct and accounts, and collecting payments from Customers that are past due.
