Principal Purpose of the Position:

· Performs responsibilities related to sales / relationship building, involving the ability to initiate, update, track and maintain a customer base.

· Effective communication with customers, via phone, fax or email regarding product literature, as requested.

· Answers phones, responds to customers, vendors, branch, and salespeople questions and requests.

· Initiates follow-up on quotes with customers and salespeople on a regular basis.

· Sends order confirmations, invoices and other documentation to customer by fax or e-mail, or any other system required for correspondence.

· Enters customer orders into system (SAP), including orders, credits, debits, and return authorization (RA).

· Regularly reviews delivery status of open orders, back orders, delivery ETA, claims and credit; regular correspondence with customers and salespeople.

· Resolve shipment discrepancies (shortage, overage, and damage).

· Facilitate credit release of orders when necessary.

· Communicate with warehouse on shipments (delivery dates, special instructions, etc).

· Check inventory for customers and sales team.

· Coordinate sales with documentation from public (3rd party) warehouse vendors and operations, as required in function

· Overtime may be required and is mandatory.

· Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

· High School diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred

Experience:

· Zero (0) to Three (3) years relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to demonstrate Relationship building skills with Sales team and customers.

· Strong analytical and communication skills.

· Experience with MS Office required; proficiency in Excel preferred.

· Knowledge and experience with business related software programs; SAP preferred.

· Ability to collaborate with a multi-department team.

· Ability to gain knowledge of manufacturing technology.

· Ability to gain knowledge of product and capabilities

· Ability to gain outside sales experience.
