The Custodian is responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, appearance, and general safety of assigned areas within the community. Reporting to the Director of Environmental Services, he or she works with a minimum of supervision to ensure his or her assigned areas are maintained in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition by performing various tasks using the necessary equipment and supplies.The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and previous experience and familiarity with basic cleaning supplies and equipment is preferred. He or she must be committed to the residents and reliable to his or her co-workers. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and appropriate dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
