BCI is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Custodial Supervisor to join our team, onsite in the Beverly Hills/West Los Angeles area.

The external and internal appearance of a building is reflected on the occupants. We are looking for a responsible Custodial Supervisor to maintain our client’s facilities. It is important for a custodial crew to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role along with experience working in a supervisor role over a small team that is focused on building upkeep. They will have good physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative for a Custodial Supervisor

Basic Qualifications

· Experience in directing cleaning type operations in a supervisory capacity.

· Ability to supervise cleaning services (including janitorial and floor care) within a commercial or industrial environment.

General Responsibilities:

The principal responsibility of the supervisor is to ensure the proper cleaning and maintenance of the facility in accordance with the contract requirements; supervise staff and provide nightly reports of completed work.

· Provide all relevant training to employees

· Participate/facilitate regular safety training

Specific Responsibilities:

· Supervise detailed custodial functions including floor care. Perform standard janitorial duties including dusting, detailing, vacuuming, sanitizing, waxing, buffing, and stripping floors, and cleaning restrooms, common areas, and windows when personnel are absent.

· Ensure employees clean all tabletops, fixtures, file cabinets, desks, dividers, partitions, elevator doors, entry doors, walls and surfaces to ensure that they are free from dust and dirt in accordance with the daily work schedules. Step in to perform such duties when personnel is absent.

· Ensure employees clean service, and police all restrooms, gyms, offices, lobby, hallways, conference rooms and manufacturing areas, stock all supply dispensers in restrooms and ensure that all shelves and surfaces are clean and dry in accordance with the daily work schedules.

· Ensure that all glass mirrors and interior and exterior doors are free from smudges, stains, discoloration, rust, mold, encrustation, excess moisture or spots. Ensure that all designated areas are vacuumed, swept, and mopped on a daily basis by personnel, as assigned.

· Performing routine checks and inspection for cleaning area. Manage nightly summaries and inspection reports and complete customer work orders requested according to shift on a daily basis.

Additional Responsibilities:

Understand and be able to explain and enforce the employee handbook, the hazard communication program, bloodborne pathogen procedure and all safety policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

· Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Push and pull up to 50 lbs.

· Stands and moves within assigned work area, or building for 6 to 7 hours (excluding breaks and lunch)

· Some bending, stooping, and reaching as necessary to complete the work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
