First Resources Corp. of Fairfield is growing and we are searching for dedicated and energetic Full-time Crisis Stabilization Supervisor.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for implementing and monitoring services for Crisis Stabilization Residential Services and Transitional Services to ensure that policies, protocols, outcomes, and standards are being met. Responsible for the Individuals served by the crisis team by providing care coordination and crisis intervention with the goal of achieving successful discharges.


An Crisis Stabilization Supervisor is there to:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Crisis Stabilization Residential Services (CSRS) and Transitional Services, ensuring that the Individual's needs are met and that the services being rendered ensure Individual and staff safety.
  • Responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining master files for Individuals as well as completion and distribution of reports as needed for CSRS and Transitional Services.
  • Ensuring that Individuals served are referred to appropriate services and resources such as Vocational Rehabilitation, Case Management/Integrated Health Home, Department of Human Services, Medicaid, Mental Health Services, Substance Abuse Services, etc.
  • Assist with scheduling medical/mental health/substance abuse appointments as needed.
  • Assist with Individual transportation as needed to include but not limited to appointments, work sites, interviews, religious affairs, etc.
  • Serve as a liaison with families, service agencies, residential providers, community resources, funders etc. to ensure appropriate services are being rendered.
  • Responsible for verifying that staff have met all operational standards as outlined in the Crisis Response Staff Job Description to include, but not limited to, appropriate forms are being obtained and completed prior to and following admission, referrals are being made to identified resources, and follow-ups are being conducted upon discharge.
  • Monitor and advocate for Individual's rights by ensuring that only non-aversive behavior management techniques are used as outlined in the behavior plans and report incidents of suspected rights violations.
  • Assist in emergency situations including medical treatment for injured Individuals, transportation to hospital, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Department to conduct periodic audits of client files, medications, etc. and correct any areas of concern within the designated timeframe.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and be available to those that contact the on-call phone each time.
  • Conduct employee evaluations as due each time.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff timely, providing support as needed.
  • Oversite of staff work schedules and billing expectations including but not limited to:
  • Collaboratively develop staff work schedules, ensuring adequate Individual/staff ratios are maintained in accordance with individual needs.
  • Monitor pre-bill reports on a weekly basis and remedy any errors through communication and coaching with staff members and the finance department.
  • Responsible for ensuring documentation requirements of staff related to individual service are adhered to, comply with regulatory expectations, and are completed within the allotted timeframe.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 30 semester hours or equivalent hours in a human services field (including, but not limited to, psychology, social work, mental health counseling, nursing, education, occupational therapy) and at least one year of experience in the delivery of services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness.
  • Or
  • An Iowa license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) and at least three years of experience in the delivery of services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have valid driver's license and personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and be insurable under the company's insurance.
  • Must be willing to use personal vehicle when needed for work-related events and must be willing to transport members in personal or company vehicle when needed.
  • Must have access to a telephone.
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
  • Must possess basic knowledge of computers and computer-based programs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and show proof of auto insurance.
  • Satisfactory results on background check pertaining to criminal and abuse registries.
