Summary:

We’re looking for a passionate, creative writer to help us create great content in a wide range of activity to engage prospects and customers with writing that is educational, emotional, intriguing and sometimes, just fun. The Content Writer is a key member of the marketing team and serves a crucial role in supporting the bank’s overall growth strategies and financial targets. In this role, we are looking for a person with strong copywriting and content curation skills to support the bank’s growth strategy through blogs, web content, social media and social media management platforms, email marketing platforms and more, writing in the brand’s voice and catered to a variety of target audiences. The ability to evaluate the success of these efforts through business reporting and insights tools, where applicable, will also be utilized to optimize marketing performance.


The Content Writer will lead in identifying and recommending messaging strategies and tactics to achieve sales and marketing goals. In collaborating with the marketing team and internal stakeholders, the Content Writer will bring a customer-centric, goal-oriented mindset to the team with impeccable writing skills and a wide range of voice.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the bank, the industry, and our clients.
  • Create stories and content that will benefit the bank’s customers in managing and improving their financial health.
  • Identify, research, and write content for any and all channels including, but not limited to, websites, social media, emails, blog posts and more. Use content management systems & tools to manage daily workflow in maintaining website and other channel content for accuracy, updates and campaign messaging.
  • Develop creative work to reach consumers throughout the funnel – from brand awareness to driving sales with acquisition-based campaigns, working within timelines and budgets and communicating status on projects regularly.
  • Work alongside graphic designer to concept creative work and actively participate in marketing team’s overall activity, contributing ideas and supporting the needs and objectives of internal (business unit) clients.
  • Create and assist with copy for video and other projects where copy is needed. Write web copy for SEO improvement per creative briefs and SEO direction provided by outside agencies.
  • Use reports and analytics for insights on message effectiveness wherever possible, such as email subject lines, A/B tests on landing pages, etc.
  • Maintain an archive of pre-flight, in-market and past marketing assets along with creative approval, compliance approval history, expenses and timelines.
  • Ensure work premises constitutes a safe work environment that promotes positive bank image, including regular inspection for and remediation of any hazardous conditions; regular maintenance and cleaning of premises; adherence to all posting requirements in jurisdiction, including human resources and compliance postings; and provision of comfortable and appropriate space for associates to conduct banking business.

  • Maintains client information in complete confidence.
  • Completes other specified duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance required, working at the assigned worksite, or assigned remote location during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.
