The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for all duties associated with assisting in running machines including setup, operation, and cleanup
  • Minimize waste
  • Run efficiently and produce quality products
  • Run each order according to Production Master and follow any special instructions at all times
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed
  • Check quality of produced items
  • Assist in the completion of necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner including Production Data, Machine Operational Status, and Quality Data
  • Submit any maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs & be proactive in the maintenance of equipment
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping

Requirements:

  • All shifts available
  • Must be available to work Saturdays as needed
  • Must be available to work overtime (before or after shift) as needed
  • Prior experience working for a Corrugated Manufacturer is preferred but not required
  • Experience working in Converting/Finishing machinery is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in shipping/receiving and sit down forklift preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read order information and a tape measure to 1/16ths

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling, grasping, fine manipulation and visual acuity for color perception. Ability to communicate with machine operators, supervisors, and managers, verbally and in writing. The incumbent must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
