Project Specialist, Corporate Development Transformations & Operations

Position Summary

Deloitte's US Corporate Development team is responsible for the organic and inorganic investment strategy and related activities of the Deloitte US firm in order to advance our Businesses' (Consulting, Advisory, Audit, Tax) growth ambitions.

As a Project Specialist on the Corporate Development Transformation & Operations team, you will support day-to-day administrative, logistical, and project-related activities, including deliverable ownership and development. The role is ideal for a practitioner with strong detail orientation, the ability to multi-task, to form strong relationships throughout the organization, to effectively balance competing demands with tight deadlines, and who has an interest in operations internally at Deloitte and looking to contribute to a virtual team.

This role will provide you key exposure to US firm leadership and processes, providing you with a unique perspective on how large-scale companies operate and make decisions. It will enhance your understanding of how acquisitions and other investments support the overall Deloitte strategy and drive growth. The opportunity will allow you to build relationships with leaders across Deloitte's Executive team, Businesses, and Enabling Areas.

What you'll do

Expectations of the role will be to:
  • Ownership for logistics coordination related to US Corporate Development owned virtual and in-person meetings - direct coordination with various teams for scheduling and support of the meetings
  • Organize and coordinate critical high priority activities in a variety of areas of project management related to the day-to-day activities required of the team and office governance
  • Support document management and archiving for US Corporate Development
  • Develop and manage methods to streamline and enhance existing processes, reporting tools, and deliverable templates within the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accomplish multiple assignments and deliverables
  • Drive integration across the US Corporate Development team to build a community of trust and awareness of each other's strengths and experiences for effective collaboration (i.e., AHM, newsletters, learning series, etc.)
  • Assist with content development for key leadership meetings, inclusive of stakeholders from all Deloitte Businesses and Enabling Areas (i.e., Corporate Development Leadership Team, Corporate Development Leaders, etc.)
  • Executes data analysis, research projects, and may standardize team processes to effectively support business objectives in conjunction with ongoing business initiatives/projects; may perform detailed, ad hoc analyses of both qualitative and quantitative information

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related area
  • 3+ years of related experience in professional services and/or strategic planning
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel 15-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Required Skills
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, versatility, and flexibility with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a geographically-dispersed and primarily virtual team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office overall, but highly advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills in particular
  • Superior project management, time management, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and autonomously in a detail-orientated manner; ability to manage multiple requests to meet aggressive deliverable due dates with quick turnaround times
  • Inclusive mindset
  • Willingness to travel on a limited basis as needed on projects

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements
  • Project Management Certification preferred

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $53,665 to $110,200.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
