Position Title: Coordinator, Security (JFK)

Position Summary

The Security Coordinator provides daily coverage of the ID badging station at John F. Kennedy (JFK) Intl Airport. The Security Coordinator provides crewmember badging and access control support to all Crewmembers and Business Partners. In addition, the Security Coordinator may be asked to assist Support Center locations as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ability to work with Visitor Management Software and corresponding emails effectively.
• Interface effectively with building management and its contract guard service to enhance overall building security.
• Provide employee ID badge printing and access allocations as required by policy.
• Ability to work with and process service tickets effectively.
• Provide assistance as needed at regional support centers. (overnight travel will be required)
• Maintain liaison with local law enforcement as needed.
• Ensure adherence to all Safety and Security regulations
• All other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
• One (1) year of experience in military service, law enforcement, corporate security, or customer service.
• Must be able to operate computer proficiently in order to utilize security system programs and email
• Able to answer telephone calls and personal interactions in a polite and professional manner
• Complete fluency in written and spoken English
• Must be able to work flexible assigned shifts, including holidays and weekends
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Available for occasional overnight travel (25%)
• Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
• Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
• Five (5) years of experience in law enforcement and/or corporate security and/or Military Experience
• Experience supporting CCTV, visitor management systems, access control, ID media badging systems.
• Knowledge of MS SharePoint, and Office.
• Bilingual (Spanish)

• Will need to work flexible hours with the ability for early morning or late evening assignments.

• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

• Identify and recall JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS), Safety Policy, Security Policy and behavioral standards

Compensation:

• The base pay range for this position is between $23.00 and $30.00 per hour.
