Job Summary
Prepares food for patients, employees and visitors utilizing standard industry practices and procedures. Works effectively and cooperatively within the workplace. Salary Range: $19.27/hr to $27.98/hr DOE Skagit Regional Health offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 457b/401a (retirement), long term disability, sick time, and paid time off to all employees working 20 or more hours per week.

Essential Functions
Cook food items in accordance with established menus, dietary and nutritional restrictions and portions served in accordance with established guidelines. Clean and inspect equipment and work areas utilized in accordance with established guidelines. Assist in identifying areas of improvement needed in diets. Assist with menu development in deli. Maintain adequate quantities of food ensuring high quality, freshness and appetizing presentation. Maintain all required food, safety, and Health Department standards. Maintain current knowledge of diets commonly used in a healthcare setting. Maintain ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work. Communicate effectively and cooperatively in the workplace. Actively contribute to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities. Complete all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner. Maintain current licensure and/or certification as required. Attend and actively participate in all department, team and/or committee meetings. Comply with all Skagit Regional Health, department and location specific policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Education
High School diploma or GED preferred. Relevant skills and ability may be substituted in lieu of education.

Experience/Training
Minimum two (2) years current experience in a volume production operation required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirement.

License/Certification
Current Washington State Food Worker Card required.

Other Qualifications
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications to perform work. Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills required. Must be able to effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime and weekend work).
