The Whiskey Creek Hideout in Dania Beach Florida, part of the BG Signature Parks family is looking for self-driven, energetic kitchen staff to join our phenomenal team. We are located inside Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park. Our location is called "Hideout" for a reason, and we truly are a hidden treasure out here! Responsibilities:

*Execute proper opening and closing procedures *Set up and stock food stations with all necessary supplies each day on opening shifts. *Chop vegetables, prepare sauces, meats, and other food preparation. *Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and in an efficient, timely manner. *Work well under pressure in a high volume restaurant. *Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times. *Maintain inventory; report to F&B manager weekly needs. *Dish washing throughout day and end of shift. *Properly close and sanitize kitchen on closing shifts.

Qualifications:

*Cooking experience or restaurant experience is a must. *Ability to work as part of a team *Knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and to which food must be prepared to avoid foodborne illness *Interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of other people, such as waitstaff, dishwashers, management and sometimes customers *Calm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment *Accountability for the dishes they prepare measuring up to the expectations of management and customers alike *Comprehension and organization to follow direct orders and recipes and to correctly prepare dishes to the standards of the restaurant *Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools, such as knife techniques for chopping, slicing, cutting and dicing *Ability to stand in one place for hours at a time, handle extreme heat and work shifts *Able to lift up to 30 lbs *Reliable transportation *ServSafe certification preferred, but not required *TIPS certification preferred, but not required *Able to work in the United States with proof of documentation

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $14.00 - $15.00/hour.
