Job Description:
About the Role:
The primary role of the Controls Engineer will be to support subject matter expert technical peers throughout all phases of a project including Operation and Production Optimization. This position will initiate technical abilities to identify and support key strategies, programs, and capital projects to deliver the highest value business benefit to the company. Ability to communicate and lead within cross-functional teams is a fundamental skill set for this position.
- Support automation hardware, as well as, associated software platforms. Must be familiar with Allen Bradley PLC programming.
- Continuous Improvement for key strategies / programs across the enterprise (includes development and roll out of new)
- Self–starter and known for bringing ideas forward, uses data to drive operational and cost efficiency initiatives in the Automation space
- Explore and implement industry-proven ways to automate new & existing systems
- Be able to support industry and Treehouse-specific design standard patterns on both equipment and process level
- Ensure that technical solutions comply with company security practices and pass audit requirements
- Key support to capital project teams
- Provides initial and supporting information of technical and economic feasibility analysis for automation efforts, focusing on improvements to the current state that deliver competitive advantages
- Capability to execute established start-up protocols - Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests and Commission, Qualify, and Verify
Important Details: This is a full-time permanent position located in one of the following plants within the Northeast or Midwest regions: Tonawanda, NY, Lancaster, PA, Hanover, PA, Womelsdorf, PA, Chicago, IL, Pecatonica, IL, South Beloit, IL, Dixon, IL, Wayland, MI, or Green Bay, WI, with expected 50% travel.
About You:

- BS Degree in Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years in industry, preferred experience in Food Manufacturing
- Pro-active team member with partners from R&D and Continuous Improvement Teams to drive improved performance, cost, and/or quality
- Expected 50% travel
