Position Objective
GENEX is seeking a Controller in Shawano, WI. The successful candidate will provide timely and accurate financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders, analyze results, and work with the business on a variety of projects such as bottom-line improvements, new business initiatives and inventory management.
Major Areas of Responsibility

  • periodic analysis of our results versus budget and last year and other KPI’s such as aged AR, inventory turns and the profitability by product and region
  • Work with the business (in country) to discuss results and make, and execute, plans to further improve sales and results
  • Manage direct reports in monthly financial close, reporting and personal development
  • Create business plans for new subsidiaries, products or services and merger and acquisitions
  • Identify and report inefficiencies and recommended cost savings to the cooperative
  • Know, adhere and propose improvements to internal control procedures
  • Work with and assist auditors with all requests and collect and organize requested documentation for their audit(s)
  • Responsible for maintaining GL chart of accounts
  • Organizing and analyzing month end financial reports.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Master’s in Accounting or Business with 5-8 years of relevant management accounting experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and duties successfully to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
  • Have strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, BI and ERP systems
  • Willingness to develop and grow both personally and professionally.
