JOB SUMMARY

The Controller is responsible for Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, and Human Relations.

The Controller will manage the Human Resource and Accounting department operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, identifying training needs and implementing/maintaining instruction and evaluation programs. The Controller will oversee communications within the department and with other departments, promoting a positive work environment and efficient work flow.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Manage finances and budgeting, reporting to President and executive team
  • Oversee the accounting and human resource departments, managing AP/AR, job costing, general ledger, payroll and cash flow
  • Maintain a system of control over the Accounting transactions to avoid fraud or risk that would endanger the company
  • Produce monthly work in progress and financial statements in a timely manner, ensuring they comply with reporting standards
  • Provide financial support and create financial reports, analysis, pricing decision and contract negotiations
  • Coordinate monthly accounting/financial reviews, annual audits and tax returns
  • Maintain business and tax licenses for all states/localities.
  • Monitor projects budget and expenses
  • Identify training needs and direct employee training programs
  • Ensure the company follows local, state and federal government requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of Excel required
  • Experience with Sage 300 CRE preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Strong leadership
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Finance, Accounting and HR related skills
  • Excellent management skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (Preferred)
  • 10 year(s) or more of related experience (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
