The Continuous Improvement Manager Directs, coordinates and supports process improvements, procedures and programs necessary to ensure efficient and accurate production. Leads Continuous Improvement programs and facilitates communication and problem solving between teams. Assists team members to identify improvement opportunities. Oversees and develops members of improvement teams.

Provides training, encouragement, coaching, and feedback to employees. Observes employee performance, coaching as needed to ensure department, business and company procedures and standards are met. Reviews work product, monitors workload and sets standards for productivity and accuracy. Conducts yearly performance reviews and provides regular coaching and training to all staff. · Responds to employee concerns using problem-solving skills, tact, and discretion in accordance with the Costco Employee Agreement and other applicable regulations. · Develops and maintains a team atmosphere through communication and mentoring. Establishes new ways of acknowledging positive performance to support employee morale. · Reviews applicant submissions for job postings, conducts interviews and makes recommendations regarding hiring status. · Works cross functionally, using Lean Six Sigma methodology and analytics to strategically identify and solve various issues with existing processes. · Maps process flows, identifies and eliminates bottlenecks and recommends capital and cost saving projects. · Analyzes, plans, designs, implements and evaluates key projects identified as improving processes, production, and/or product. Acts as Champion for teams, providing strategic direction and necessary resources. · Coordinates and follows up on projects, ensuring progress. Communicates project progress with management team. Influences other to use six sigma tools and strategy. · Instructs cross-functional teams in adapting to and understanding improvement processes, facilitating Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), and overseeing process improvement projects. · Works with department managers/supervisors throughout the facility to refine documented change procedures. · Identifies training opportunities and creates and/or coordinates training materials and delivers training. · Provides technical support and monitors critical processes. · Motivates and develops staff. Promotes teamwork and demonstrates continuous improvement. · Assists in other areas of the company as necessary.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications: Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience. Strong and effective leadership, organizational and analytical skills. Strong computer skills. Proficient in Excel, Google Docs and presentations. Food Industry training and certifications are helpful, and Costco Food Safety Certification will be required as soon as practical. Must be current on Company annual safety training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.

Lean Enterprise certification and Green Belt certification required, Black Belt helpful or certification required within 1 year.

Able to drive results and work effectively in a fast paced environment. Must be flexible with schedule and travel as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
