Your Responsibilities
As a Continuous Improvement Buyer for Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL, you will support the production of combines & front-end equipment at the Harvester Works through rigorously managing change, in addition you will…
Be responsible for the development & implementation of cost reduction- integrate suppliers early in the process to optimize design and cost- Work between Engineering and suppliers on product specification, making recommendations to ensure a quality product at the lowest total cost; support the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process so design changes and product improvements are implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Lead the negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers resulting in cost models, an implementation strategy, and a documented agreement, ensuring the Company meets its overall goals for cost, quality, continuity of supply, etc.
- Lead the development or aligning implementation of sourcing strategies, coordinate and lead efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues

What Skills You Need
2 or more years of experience in interpersonal communications, influencing without authority, negotiation, and conflict resolution.- 2 or more years of experience in specific areas of Supply Management and/or Operations such as: supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, material flow, manufacturing engineering, etc.
- 2 or more years of experience supporting Order Fulfillment Process
- 2 or more years of project management experience
What Makes You Stand Out
2 or more years of supporting make-versus-buy analysis- Technical background in either design or manufacturing engineering
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor’ Degree in a Supply Management, Business/Management, or Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent related work experience
