We are focused on optimizing how we reach and interact with our customers and are seeking an innovative Content Specialist to join our growing Corporate Marketing and Communications team.

The Content Specialist will be a key member of Wellfleet’s Corporate Marketing and Communications team responsible for the analysis, planning, and execution of brand, advertising, content, and demand generation strategies and campaigns. The Content Specialist will collaborate with key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, and Operations as well as IT, Account Management, and Product team members across all business lines to deliver customer-focused marketing and communications.

In this role, the Content Specialist will assist in the creation of content designed to educate, increase awareness, drive intent, and fill the sales pipeline across our wide range of insurance products and publishing process. To ensure success as a Content Specialist, you should show a keen eye for detail and be highly creative. You should be an experienced storyteller who is skilled at weaving together narratives from multiple sources and who possesses a passion for research.

This is an exciting position on Wellfleet’s Corporate Marketing and Communications team laser-focused on driving reach, awareness, and revenue across the business.

In this role, you will…

  • Develop effective and creative marketing collateral, including blogs, e-mails, case studies, videos, landing pages, and white papers for business audiences.
  • Collaborate in updating and improving existing content to ensure all content is on-brand, SEO-friendly, and current.
  • Coordinate receipt and documentation of content approvals from an established set of stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales, and Product Marketing colleagues to facilitate the creation of product briefs, one-pagers, emails, presentations, and other sales enablement materials.
  • Work within Wellfleet’s content management system to publish, edit, and update content.
  • Understand, retain, and apply the procedures to access, work within, and move between different digital platforms and environments.
  • Establish and track content marketing metrics to measure success and develop plans for optimization.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for keyword research, link building, site audits, page optimization, rank tracking, reporting, and more.

We are looking for candidates with…

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Communications, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Suite – Word, Outlook, Excel, PPT, One Note, Teams
  • Ability to convey complex subject matter clearly and engagingly
  • Strong proofreading skills to aid in writing, editing, and fact-checking marketing content
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to quickly absorb and put into practice new information, instructions, or procedures while seamlessly performing current job tasks
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and ability to display a strong degree of flexibility while working under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well and to be flexible within the marketing team and other business departments
  • Basic understanding of how to plan and execute an effective content strategy
  • Basic SEO knowledge to help analyze and optimize the content ecosystem with willingness to develop an advanced working knowledge
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, and modern content management systems is a huge plus; or a willingness to learn, execute and manage that software and processes

Advance Qualifications…

  • Experience with design products like Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Premier, Apple Final Cut or Canva
  • Experience with Google Analytics or Google Search Console
  • Experience with SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz
  • Experience with agile project management
