We have an opening for an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in planning and overseeing multiple large scale construction projects from beginning to end.

This position will be collaborating with engineers, architects and other workers in the same project. Be responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that may arise. Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements. Report the project progress and budget to the owner. Explain contract and technical matters, prepare a budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables. Choose subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities.

The Construction Project Manager we are looking for will have previous experience in retail, mixed use, and multi family residential construction management projects and be knowledgeable of regulations and permits required.

The ideal applicant will be highly organized, with the ability to plan ahead and multitask in order to meet deadlines and keep projects under budget.
*Responsibilities for Construction Project Manager

  • Overseeing construction projects from beginning to end
  • Evaluate GC’s scope of work and deliverables
  • Evaluate GC’s predicted resources needed to complete project
  • Oversee the obtainment of necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites
  • Review and evaluate budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Oversee the management of costs in order to meet budget
  • Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts
  • Oversee the management of GC’s construction schedule and activities
  • Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines
  • Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
  • Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships as needed
  • Coordinate or oversee the efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards
  • Any and all work directed by executive

Qualifications for Construction Project Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture OR Commensurate Experience
  • Preferably 5 years of experience in project management within commercial and multi family residential construction
  • Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
  • High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Familiar with construction and project management software programs
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources
  • Conflict resolution and conflict management experience
  • Excellent time management ability
  • Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills
  • Highly organized

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
