Project Foreman

Overall Function Summary

Provides technical administration, representation and delivery of construction related services to Kaiser Permanente service areas and facilities as part of the National Facilities Services capital improvement delivery team.

Major Responsibilities

As directed, supervision and project oversight. Adheres to and works within approved project budgets and schedules.

· Assigned construction crews and resources to complete tasks as needed.

· Ensures construction activities on assigned projects are completed on time as per the construction schedule.

Ensures the following activities are adhered to/completed:

· CPFC’s Safety Program requirements and tasks.

· Kaiser Permanente and CPFC’s Compliance requirements are adhered to.

· Pre-Task Planning.

· ILSM and Dust Controls for assigned projects.

· Completes daily logs per project in eBuilder.

· CPFC Quality Control Program.

· On-site supervision of Vendors, Subcontractors, and CPFC Trade Craft Employees.

· Works within accepted organizational guidelines.

· Understands and follows standard practices, policies, and procedures.

· Requires the ability to plan and schedule construction activities.

· Ensures work crew is completing assigned tasks per the approved plans, and specifications as well as Vendor/Subcontractor contractual agreements.

· Oversees multiple projects simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS

Functional Knowledge & Skills

· General blueprint reading skills; ability to read and translate architectural drawings: plans, elevations, and section; cross-reference various sheets within a given set.

· Ability to understand the project schedule.

· Proficient in One Link or gain proficiency within a six-month window of hire.

· Proficient in e-Builder or gain proficiency within a six-month window of hire.

· Working knowledge of building codes.

· Basic computer skills: ability to use email, Word, Excel, and PlanGrid.

· General understanding of job hazard assessment.

· Working knowledge of KP, NFS, CPFC & Medical Center P&P, Standards, National Sourcing Agreements (NSA), or gain proficiency within a six-month window of hire.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

Customer & Industry Knowledge

· Working knowledge of construction practices.

· Working knowledge of Trade Labor Union requirements.

Education

· Minimum High school diploma or GED

Environment

Office and construction worksites. Must be able to work shiftwork, overtime, and under pressure of deadlines. May require travel. Must be able to work in a matrixed environment. Must be able to work in a union environment

Physical Requirements

Must be able to validate work in place which may include climbing a ladder, crawling in above ceiling places, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting load of 25 pounds.

· Organizational Agility -- Understands the structure and dynamics of Kaiser Permanente and the rationale of its policies and procedures. Understands organizational and union dynamics, and his or her varying roles in both formal and informal networks. Is comfortable in a constantly changing environment.

· Technical Knowledge -- Possesses the technical and professional knowledge needed to supervise projects within safety, regulatory, legal and craft trade union agreement parameters. Is proficient in using planning, monitoring, evaluation and financial tools. Keeps up to date in required knowledge areas.

Position is located in the Sacramento Area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $96,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
