Job description
General Contractor is seeking a Construction Carpenter for the Grand Forks area. Projects involve working with commercial, government, educational and healthcare sectors.
Duties:
Use hand and power tools
Work outside and inside
Operates company vehicles and equipment
Performs physical labor including loading and unloading materials and equipment
Install construction materials
Assigns tasks to laborers on the jobsite
Follow blueprints and building plans
Measure, cut or shape wood, plastic, and other materials
May need to attend meetings
Follow all safety requirements
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
2+ Years of Carpentry Experience
1+ Years of Construction Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to Travel as needed to Project Sites
Read a tape measure
Strong Attention to Details
Requires a Valid Driver’s License
Work Environment:
Ability to work in all temperatures
Must be able to lift to 75 pounds
Ability to work in confined spaces
Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
Must be comfortable with physical work that requires climbing stairs and ladders frequently
Projects may involve moderate temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
Compensation:
Wage DOE
Health, Dental and Vision-Employee pays 100% towards employee only rate
