QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum years' experience requirements:Ten (10) years' directly supporting IT operations and/or development, deployment, and ATO activities.
Seven (7) years' providing configuration management (CM) support spanning CM processes, change control board support and management, change request management, and CM tracking, managing, and reporting.
Three (3) years formal and informal leading/mentoring others in CM activities.
Automation deployment of software pipelines for development, test, and production in cloudenvironments including AWS and Azure.
Utilizing DevOps tools (such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Consul) and Container Technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes).
- Senior-level experience in the following:Managing and prioritizing daily tasks, leveraging your experience and expertise to make independent judgements, recommendations, and action based on project/organizational goals and policies, and using established procedures.
Working and collaborating with development and operational team stakeholders to organize, discuss, define, and complete shared and/or co-dependent work.
Meeting customer requests and organizational goals in a timely manner and providing excellent customer service.
Translating technical terminology into terms understood by stakeholders at various level.
- Proficiency in/with:Administration of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc): including management of project permissions, field configuration schemes, workflows, and screen schemes.
Agile lifecycle and best practices supporting a continuous development and continuous integration for operational systems.
- Nice to Have:Experience with Configuration Management within Paas and IaaS environments.
Knowledge of analyzing tickets and generating reports showing trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
Demonstrable skills in the following areas: leadership, effective communication, collaboration, and a highly engaging, team-oriented, customer-focused proactive work ethic.
Experience supporting operational systems or IT development engagements within the Veterans Affairs (VA).
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in computer science, engineering, math, or similar major with 10 years' experience.
