POSITION TITLE: SENIOR ASSOCIATE COMPUTER APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMER JG: 26

BASE SALARY: $93,782 + Location Pay $4,365 NYC Only

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Competitive (Grant funded - Temporary and subject to yearly grant renewal)

QUALIFICATIONS: One year of service in the Associate Computer Applications Programmer or Computer Systems Programmer title; or
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of prior experience in computer systems analysis; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience in computer programming or computer systems analysis; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK: Senior Associate Computer Applications Programmers write and test computer instructions for very complex applications required to produce the outputs desired by users. They work on applications programs that are more difficult than those prepared by Associate Computer Applications Programmers, and perform other related duties.

POSITION TITLE: ASSOCIATE COMPUTER APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMER JG: 24

BASE SALARY: $84,216 + $4,365 Location Pay NYC Only

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Competitive (Grant funded - Temporary and subject to yearly grant renewal)

QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent competitive service in the Senior Computer Applications Programmer or the Computer Systems
Programmer title; or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of prior experience in computer programming; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three
(3) years of experience in computer programming or computer systems analysis; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK: Associate Computer Applications Programmers write and test computer instructions for complex applications required to produce the outputs desired by users. They work with substantial independence from supervision on applications programs that are more difficult than those prepared by Senior Computer Applications Programmers, and perform related duties.

BASE SALARY: $71,748 + $4,365 LOCATION PAY NYC Only

CLASSIFICATION: Competitive (Grant funded - Temporary and subject to yearly grant renewal)

QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent competitive class service in the Computer Applications Programmer Trainee title; or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK: Under direct supervision, Computer Applications Programmers write and test the instructions which are required by computers in order to produce the outputs desired by users, and perform other related duties.

LOCATION: Office of Court Administration - Division of Technology & Court Research

POSITION TITLE: COMPUTER APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMER TRAINEE JG: 13

BASE SALARY: $46,187 + $4,365 LOCATION PAY NYC Only

CLASSIFICATION: Competitive (Grant funded - Temporary and subject to yearly grant renewal)

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK: Under direct supervision, Computer Applications Programmers write and test the instructions which are required by computers in order to produce the outputs desired by users, and perform other related duties.

ASSIGNMENT: Computer Programmer candidates should have experience with the Java programming language and Java Enterprise Edition concepts, or experience as a Full Stack web developer. Applicants should have the proven ability to understand and utilize relational databases and concepts. Experience with the Oracle Database Server and PL/SQL is desirable. Candidates should be familiar with Java development tools such as Eclipse or IntelliJ, or Full Stack web frameworks. Experience with a variety of testing methodologies (regression testing, automated testing, and comparing data outputs) is a plus. The candidate will be working in an Agile team environment and should have experience maintaining and modifying existing code.
