Custom Essence is a Somerset, NJ based fragrance manufacturer. We are seeking a Fragrance Compounder to work in our production plant. This role is a day shift position, typically ending at 4:00PM.

Fragrance Compounders are an integral part of our operation. This position is responsible for following formulation instructions to combine liquid and solid ingredients into blended fragrance oils.

• The Fragrance Compounder will produce batches of fragrance oil ranging from approx. 25lbs. to 2,000+lbs. by completing automated and manual pours and heating and blending batches according to formula sheet specifications.
• The Fragrance Compounder will sample completed batches for inspection.
• The Fragrance Compounder will pack and prepare completed, approved batches.
• The Fragrance Compounder will maintain the cleanliness/organization of their work area.

Fragrance Compounders frequently use a variety of equipment including standing and seated forklifts, pallet jacks, drum dollies, scanners, touchscreens, scales, mixers, hotplates, and basic personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, glasses, masks, etc.)

The physical demands of the Fragrance Compounder role include standing/moving for several hours at a time, lifting and/or moving a variety of containers weighing up to approximately 80lbs., and handling a variety of raw materials including liquids, gums, crystals, resins, and powders. The Fragrance Compounder role is situated within a fragrance production/warehouse environment which includes ambient odors and occasional loud noises.

Fragrance Compounders must be proficient in understanding written and spoken English, must be eligible to work in the US, and must have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
